Allah Almighty states in the noble Quran at Surah Al Hashr (59), Verses 7: 

‘Whatever Allah has bestowed on His Messenger from the people of the towns it is for Allah and His Messenger, the relatives, orphans, the needy, and the traveller so that it may not merely circulate among the rich among you…’
