Empathy is at the heart of the Prophetic mission, and Wise Compass specifically highlights how the Prophets stood with the weak, the poor, and the oppressed. We show children that the Prophets were not interested in the status of the powerful, but in the hearts and rights of those who were often ignored by society. This helps children develop a ‘social conscience’ and a deep sense of empathy for those who are struggling.
Our stories use full-colour illustrations to show the diverse communities the Prophets served, helping children visualise the variety of people who found comfort in their message. We focus on the concept of Rahmah, or mercy, showing how the Prophets would go out of their way to help someone in need. This values-based reading encourages children to look for the ‘lonely’ child on the playground or to think about how they can help those less fortunate in their own city. By building this character trait early, we help children grow into compassionate adults who are committed to making the world a better place. Wise Compass supports Muslim parenting by providing stories that turn abstract values into concrete actions of kindness and empathy, following the noble examples of the Prophets who were sent as a mercy to all the worlds.
