Will Wise Compass help my child maintain consistent manners across home and school?
It is common for children to have ‘best behaviour’ in some settings and less so in others, particularly at home where they feel most comfortable. Wise Compass helps children understand that good manners, or Akhlaq, are a constant part of their identity as Muslims, regardless of where they are. As Muslim parents, we want our children to be a source of Barakah and kindness in every environment. Our Islamic stories for kids show that because Allah Almighty is always present, our character should remain consistent and sincere at home, at school, and in the community.
Our faith-friendly story platform uses relatable scenarios to show the importance of being the same person of integrity everywhere. Through values-based reading, children learn that their manners are an Amanah from Allah Almighty. In stories like Like Mother, Like Daughter, the theme of warm imitation can be applied to how children carry their home values into the wider world. By mirroring the consistent and truthful character of holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, who was known as Al-Amin (The Trustworthy) in all circumstances, children are encouraged to be reliable. We want children to feel that their good character is who they are, not just something they do. Wise Compass provides the social-emotional learning tools for children to navigate different social expectations without losing their core values. By making consistency an attractive and heroic trait, we help children develop a resilient identity. They learn that by being respectful and kind everywhere, they are following the guidance of the noble Quran and ensuring their lives are always filled with light and the pleasure of Allah Almighty.
