Will Wise Compass help my child stand up to unfairness without aggression?

Standing up for what is right is a noble trait, but doing so without becoming aggressive or disrespectful is a skill that requires great emotional intelligence. Wise Compass helps children learn how to be ‘firm yet fair’ when they witness or experience unfairness. As Muslim parents, we want our children to be brave defenders of justice, following the command of the noble Quran to be witnesses for Allah Almighty. Our Islamic stories for kids show that truth can be spoken with calm and dignity, which is often far more powerful than shouting or being unkind.

Our faith-friendly story platform features characters who face injustice and respond with wisdom and courage. Through values-based reading, children see the difference between being a bully and being a hero for justice. In the story The Boy Who Silenced a King, we see a beautiful example of how a calm, respectful, and truthful voice can change a difficult situation. By following the extraordinarily brave and composed example of holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, who stood for truth with perfect manners, children are inspired to be steadfast. We want children to feel that their character is their greatest strength when standing against unfairness. Wise Compass provides the social-emotional learning tools for children to manage their anger while still speaking their mind. This builds their confidence and resilience. By making non-aggressive courage an attractive and heroic choice, we help children develop a character that is defined by its integrity and peace. They learn that by standing up for justice in the right way, they are pleasing Allah Almighty and building a more compassionate and fair world for everyone.
