Quranic Guidance on Seeking Help 

Allah Almighty states in the noble Quran at Surah Al Nahal (16), Verses 43: 

‘…So (always) question the people of realisation, if you find yourselves unaware of (anything). 

This verse establishes a clear principle: when we lack knowledge or face uncertainty, we are encouraged to seek guidance from those who are knowledgeable. Seeking help, whether from a therapist, a scholar, or an experienced parent, is an act of wisdom. It reflects a humble recognition that growth and improvement often require external support to navigate difficult situations with resilience. 

Hadith on Seeking Knowledge 

It is recorded in Mishkaat Al Masaabih, 218, that the holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: 

‘Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim.’
