Spiritual Insight

Islam fosters cohesion and oneness in everyday life, encouraging believers to infuse their routines with intention and presence. Even the simple act of eating together is regarded as a source of Barakah (blessing) and community. The beautiful practice of shared meals and camaraderie is regarded as not only nourishing the body, but also strengthening hearts and families. Allah Almighty states in the noble Quran at Surah Al Noor (24), Verse 61:

… there is no blame if you choose to eat collectively or separately… ‘

This verse endorses the practice of eating together, and Hadith Shareef reinforces it. It is recorded in Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith 3287, that the holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

Eat together and do not eat separately, for the blessing is in being together.   ‘

By changing daily rituals into moments of presence and shared thanks, such as saying ‘Bismillah’ before a meal or discussing a poem on a stroll, you not only create emotional trust but also plant spiritual seeds. These small practices transform into profoundly ingrained acts of love, connection, and Deen all at once.
